It goes without saying, Rocky Mountain Way by Joe Walsh is a kick ass song. Love the tempo for the bike or elliptical – I would SO rather add resistance than add speed. The phrasing is perfect for some quick intervals. And it’s an
And we don’t need the ladies
Crying ‘cuz the storie’s sad
‘Cuz the Rocky Mountain Way
Is better than the way we had
And if you’re from the right generation, you certainly have some scandalous memories associated with this song, right?
Come on people – let’s kill this Monday!
Any classic rockers out there?

Yes! I’m old enough to appreciate it–good choice!
oh yay! Sometimes I feel like I’m the only one who’s musical taste precedes the gogo’s :)
bases are loaded and casey’s at bat – my favorite line. :) this is a good one. I don’t have scandalous memories tied to this one, but I STILL listen to the same classic rock station that I did when I was a kid (same djs too – Marty Party and Iris Harrison!) so… yeah, music is a big deal to me and most everything has SOME KIND of memory!! :D
I just KNEWWWWWWWWWWW that you’d like this song – and yes – that is the BEST line :) Our local classic rock station isn’t that great – I kinda don’t think guns and roses count… sigh…
ha! I like guns n roses, but yeah, they definitely are not classic rock. (for me, more of something I sing at karaoke!) :)
our musical tastes are VERY similar (we could take an AWESOME road trip!!) and I don’t think you’ve posted a song I DON’T like yet!
He (Joe Walsh) was a neighbor of mine in Encanitas for a while. I passed him walking my dog one day and said, “Hey, how’s it going?” I said…
Response: “I’ll let you know later, so long as the waffles aren’t burnt.”
WTF does that mean……?
When I’m 80 years old, with tubes snaked up my nose, and Parkinson’s disease has wovens it’s way deep into my nervous system, I will still be wondering WTF he was talking about….
That’s really funny!
And yes – he is a weird kind of guy – ha! It is NO surprise that he would pontificate about waffles – ha!
