You all know that I have had a BLAST with Fit Stanley. The toddler nephews were, of course a big fan <See Their Adventures>. The BF+ took a while to warm up to him, but then joined in the fun and did some tricep dips (looking around to make sure no one was looking). <Check Out How He Finally Came Around in this LOL Post>
I just went to Tahoe and BF+ agreed to bring Fit Stanley – oh my – you should see the pix!
I’ve had SO much fun, that it just didn’t think it was right to send out just one Stanley. I really wanted more folks to have fun with him.
I checked in with Carla (MizFitOnline & The Fit Stanley Project), and she confirmed that Stanley’s IDENTICAL twins could join the road trip.
Yes Indeedy - I will be passing along FIVE Fit Stanley’s!
Here’s the Scoop
Comment below telling why Fit Stanley should come visit you and what you have planned for your FitVenture.
Judging Criteria
I’m actually NOT going to put this into a random drawing – rather I will enlist in a few of my girlfriends and my BF+ to assist with the judging. (This will be fun because they don’t know any of you, so they will be very good, impartial judges.) And in the words of the BF+, Fit Stanley can’t just go with ANYONE. He’s very invested in sending him to the best places.
Criteria? The HEART and HUMOR or your replies of course! Have fun – make us laugh! And yes, repeats are always welcome because you just might come up with more great ideas when you’re in the shower!
Also, consideration will be given to geographic diversity (I will not be discriminating against my Canadian friends, eh!).
Extra Credit for Sharing the Love
And yes, we’re offering optional extra credit and consideration for those spreading the word!

There IS a Condition
My Birthday Present
So there you have it – we’re going on a roadtrip and you’re invited! Comments are open until 5pm PST Friday, August 5. I’ll be making the announcement on my birthday (August 6) because that seems like an uber fun birthday present for me to share Fit Stanley with you!
Enjoy and Have Fun!
What would you do with your very own Fit Stanley?

Oh I am laughing to myself because, much as I would LOVE to take fit stanley on my upcoming roadtrip, I am sure that my teen would cringe in embarrassment. And, since this trip is all about him – off to college – I guess I need to respect that. Darn. And, sadly, that is the highlight of my life this month. Oh so boring here.
Embarrassing the spawn? Gosh – that’s a winner in my book LOL – I think you could sneak in a couple of pix tho – I don’t think he would even notice :)
I would totally take Fit Stanley with me on my Warrior Dash on the 13th of August. It’s a 5K with obstacles – wall climbs, running through a river, jumping over fire, climbing over wrecked cars, army crawling under barbed wire in the mud, etc. Doesn’t it sound like lots of fun??? I would put Fit Stanley in a ziploc bag and take him with me on this adventure.
I’m not 100% sure I’ll be able to get my big butt over all of the obstacles, but I should be entertaining!
Fit Stanley will not mind the ziploc – he’s a very good sport! He liked the dry bag in the kayak but was happy to come out to see the birds :)
August is insane and a great time for FIT STANLEY to visit…
12-14 going camping in the mountains
20 Warrior Dash Rockies
20-24 retreat up in the mountains
27 IronGirl Sprint Triathlon
And forget just a pic… I do video when I play with Stanleys… wanna see? http://read.ossumniss.com/2009/03/greetings-from-boulder/
let’s just say I’ll find a way to rig Stanley to my bike for my tri :)
LOL Only you Kia! Well, Fit Stanley is a VERY good sport and I think would be very video friendly… And his trip to Tahoe proved that he handles the altitude quite well :)
Oh, I put in for both Fit Stanley & Fit Stella at Carla’s but was not a random pic so I would LOVE for him to visit. I just had my grandkids in town so I misses that opportunity, dang, BUT 4 of them live about 1.5 hours away so I am sure we will have a meet & greet soon. PLUS, I want to take him to the gym with me to lift weights. Looks like he needs a bit of that! ;-)
I don’t do Twitter so I can’t do that but I have already commented on the 2 posts over at the Fit Stanley site….. LOVE that Carla did this & that you are joining in!
Happy bday early & what a great way to celebrate by passing on the fun!
Oooooh! Gatherings with the kids and grown ups? Yes – Fit Stanley is rather lean and would I’m sure benefit from some weight training!
I would love to host FitStanley for a few days! I think he would fit right in the mix with my 3 active little boys. We would take FS hiking, biking, running, swimming (wearing safety gear of course), and enjoying the many adventures a family full of boys entails. :)
Well that sounds like a grand adventure – safety first LOL. Your 3 little angels I’m SURE would like him – and I’m sure he would be fine with you for an almost-solo run or with the jogger thingie you have!
I would be able to take Fit Stanley on my regular fitness adventures (gym, running on our trail, walks with Basil Pet (dachshund rides!) and possibly a bike ride or two. In addition, we have a POOL and if Stanley is laminated he can swim! You can rest assured I will take plenty of photos.
Also? the SPABETTIE SPIN I can put on Fit Stanley’s visit with me? Fit FOOD. I can teach him to juice, have him help me make delicious healthy meals, and if he gets here on time he can come to a television taping of one of my very favorite vegan authors.
A well rounded visit, indeed.
Fit Stanley would love green juice I do believe (he eats quite clean actually). And I’m sure I would get along with basil – and YES – he is waterproof :)
I am formally inviting FitStanley to accompany me -as my guest- to the weekend long Strength Camp up at BodyTribe in Sacremento. He will learn to stretch and flow with help from Jack the cat. Then on to some movement: squatting with bars and chains or bench pressing.. who knows what fun we’ll learn that morning!
After a healthy lunch -visiting with other campers- it’s an afternoon lecture from Chip Conrad and more movments.
Saturday evening, we’re hanging with friends I’ve made on the internet. He can hear all the insanity of the MySpace fitness forums… and maybe play some Scrabble. Early to bed, though, because day two of Strength Camp will be here soon enough.
After another morning stretch -this time with assistance from LuLu the dog- more strength through play movement. Expect to see some Indian clubs, tire flipping, walking like a duck, and general insanity ensue…
Since many of the campers would likely be up to entertaining Stanley… he’ll make new friends, and come home so happy and sore. After a day of recovery, though, he’ll likely be ready to escape to saner surrounds…
Oh my! That is QUITE an invitation! I know he will love Chip and he’d love to learn scrabble too LOL Thanks Deb!
August isn’t a good month for FitStanley adventures with me, but September is looking up with trips to Denver, LA and Chicago (or one loooong trip). Maybe for the next round?!
Oh yes – August can be quite busy with the end of summer – deal with the spawn possibilities. Denver? Really? You must see Suzanne! Woot!
I participate in the MS150 bicycle ride every year and do the century ride the first day so that the mileage actually works out to over 170 miles of cycling over 2 days. I will be again participating this year on October 1&2 riding from St. Augustine Florida to Daytona Florida and then back. I would be honored to take Fit Stanley along with me. Here is a link to the ride website: http://bikefln.nationalmssociety.org/site/TR/Bike/FLNBikeEvents?pg=entry&fr_id=16752
Look at it this way… Fit Stanley will get to see some of Florida and he will be helping out two causes at once… I am riding for the Arthritis Foundation and the ride is for MS…. It’s a 3 way win….
Oh WOW! You are a REAL bike rider! Fit Stanley would be very impressed – cuz he’s just been posing with this poser bike rider. Thanks so much Scott – and thank you for the work you do!
